It's About Damn Time!

Hello World!

This blog of mine is merely a small spot among the great many bloggers out there...but it's one that has tried to materialize through many, many failed attempts. The problem: time, or rather lack of it.

I've always had a template of my blogspot, a couple actually; both created around my 30th birthday in May of 2008. One I had titled "Trente...Really?" (means 30 in french) and another titled "My Journey" - whatever happened to them you ask? Well, true I still didn't have time to get them going, but around September/October of that same year I received an email from a girlfriend inviting me to view her blogspot, she titled it "Laurie's Ride." Shortly after I received another invitation, this time from my Uncle Norman, titled "In The Forties." Enough said?!

But like in many aspects of my life, I'm still here trudging along, and so begins the rebirth of me, yet again. I have great hope that in finally participating in a site for my thoughts, that it will serve as an outlet to finding a certain peace and organization that I have been desperately seeking for too many long years.

Facebook has been a blessing and curse; a blessing to be in touch with long lost friends - some of whom I have formed better relations with as an adult than when we were in our "tween" and "teen" years, and a curse because it added more pressure to get together! So I also hope that this site will aid in reconnecting me with each one of my amazing friends and family. While this certainly does not replace the much needed face-time with all of you, it does help me to reply once to "so what's going on with you?" In regards to getting my feculence together (yup I thesaurus'd that one!) ...well it's about damn time!

  1. Way to go, Selene! There is a catharsis we enjoy in pouring out through words the emotional toxins we carry day by day. But there is an equally powerful rush we experience when sharing with the world the joys of our not-so-ordinary lives. I'm sure your blog will give you both. Have fun!

  2. Facebook is a curse. Nevertheless, with or without technology I find no reason why I won't be able to connect to the Ate that has put my life on track.

    Write MORE! Haha
